How the pathwayis structured

The national curriculum is the pathway most Hillwood girls follow. It runs from Grade 1 through the G.C.E. Ordinary Level at Grade 11, and on to the Advanced Level in Grades 12 and 13.

Teaching is available in both Sinhala and English media through the junior years, with English medium offered throughout the Upper School and Advanced Level. Tamil is taught as a second national language from Grade 6.

Syllabi follow the National Institute of Education framework. Full subject outlines for each grade are available from the section head and are issued to parents at the start of each academic year.
